Job summary

Arcana in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Data Engineer to architect and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines. You will apply deep CS fundamentals, build scalable PySpark-based solutions, and ensure performance and reliability across the data platform.

Responsibilities include ingesting data, designing large-scale data applications, and collaborating with a high-performing team to translate business needs into robust technical outcomes using AWS and modern data tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 3–8 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with ETL, data integration, and large-scale datasets using PySpark.
• Strong understanding of ETL, near/real-time streaming, data structures, and workflow management.
• Experience with Git/GitHub.
• Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, or HBase.
• Knowledge of AWS technologies such as EMR, RedShift, Kinesis, Lambda, Glue, S3 IAM, CloudWatch, and big data tools like Hadoop/EMR, Hive, and Sqoop.
