Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 8-12 years of experience to design and deliver enterprise data platforms. You will work on Spark-based pipelines, data modeling, and cloud data warehousing while collaborating with architects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include solution design reviews, designing scalable architectures, and ensuring data quality and security. Candidates should have strong SQL skills and experience with AWS and data lakes.

Senior Data Engineer (8-12 Years Experience) Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 8-12 years of experience in designing, building, and optimizing enterprise data platforms and data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Spark-based data engineering, data modeling, and modern cloud data warehousing technologies. The candidate should also be capable of contributing to solution design and architecture discussions, helping define scalable and efficient data solutions for business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing frameworks.
• Build and optimize data processing solutions using Spark and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models, including semantic and dimensional models.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in solutioning, architecture reviews, and technical design discussions.
• Create high-level and low-level design documents for data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Optimize data processing performance and troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Support deployment automation and CI/CD practices for data engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Mandatory Skills

• 8-12 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Proven experience in Data Modeling, including Enterprise Semantic Data Modeling (ESDM) Semantic Modeling Dimensional Modeling Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design.
• Strong SQL skills and experience handling large‑scale datasets.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data platforms and data solutions.
• Ability to contribute to solution architecture, technical design, and data platform strategy.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience working with cloud‑based data ecosystems and data lakes.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with Python for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices within data engineering environments.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of large‑scale data workloads.

Key Evaluation Criteria

• Strong Spark/PySpark expertise.
• Hands‑on Data Modeling experience (ESDM, Semantic Modeling, Dimensional Modeling).
• Ability to support and drive solutioning and technical design discussions.
• Experience designing enterprise‑scale data platforms and architectures.
• Snowflake experience (Good to Have).
• Strong SQL and data optimization skills.
• Stakeholder communication and architecture collaboration capabilities.
