Job summary

LevelShift is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to lead data platform initiatives in Mumbai or Bengaluru. With 8+ years of experience, you will architect and optimize high‑throughput data pipelines, leveraging Snowflake, DataCoves, and Medallion architecture.

You will build modular dbt models and orchestrate with Airflow in cloud environments. You will work on secure data ingestion via AWS S3, manage Snowflake stages, and collaborate using Bitbucket and Jenkins in CI/CD workflows while upholding

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong expertise with data platforms, Snowflake and modern ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency with Airflow, dbt, SQL, and cloud storage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage data platforms focusing on high concurrency and elastic compute.
• Develop solutions on DataCoves for managed orchestration.
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) for reusable data products.
• Design data transformations using advanced SQL and dbt with modular models.
• Create production-grade, event-driven Airflow DAGs and monitor tasks.
• Utilize AWS S3 and Snowflake stages for secure data ingestion and integration.
• Manage source code with Bitbucket and support CI/CD via Jenkins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage data platforms using Snowflake, with a focus on high-concurrency workloads and elastic compute scaling.
• Develop solutions on DataCoves for managed orchestration.
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to deliver high-quality, reusable data products.
• Design and develop data transformation pipelines using advanced SQL and dbt.
• Create parameterized dbt models using Jinja to ensure modular, DRY, and maintainable transformation logic.
• Develop and maintain production-grade, event-driven Apache Airflow Python DAGs.
• Ensure orchestration frameworks support idempotency, automated scheduling, and efficient task monitoring.
• Utilize AWS S3 as a secure and scalable storage layer for data ingestion and integration with Snowflake stages.
• Manage source code using Bitbucket and support CI/CD processes through Jenkins.
• Apply Data-as-Code engineering principles, including version control and pipeline optimization, to support scalable data platform operations.
