Job summary

Synechron Technologies is seeking a Data Engineering Sr. Associate in Bengaluru to design and implement scalable data pipelines and modern data architectures. You will work across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and big data tech (Spark, Databricks, Kafka) to deliver robust data solutions.

The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical outcomes, including optimization of storage and compute resources.

Qualifications

Data Engineering Sr. Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and optimize data integration workflows from multiple source systems.
• Develop data models, data marts, and data warehouse solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across platforms.
• Design solutions for structured and unstructured data processing.

Cloud & Big Data Technologies

• Develop and manage data solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Work with big data technologies including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, and Kafka.
• Implement scalable and high-performance data processing frameworks.
• Optimize cloud data storage and compute resources for cost and performance.

Database & Data Warehousing

• Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning solutions.
• Work with enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery.
• Implement data partitioning, indexing, and optimization techniques.

Data Governance & Quality

• Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alert mechanisms for data pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and BI teams.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support production deployments, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark .
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics , or equivalent cloud technologies.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration tools.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery , or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures .
• Experience with version control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory .
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
