In this role, you will work closely with credit transactors, risk managers, legal, and finance teams to assess collateral values, evaluate borrower viability, and recommend recovery outcomes that align with Citi's risk management framework. Your analysis will shape decisions on restructuring, refinancing, enforcement, and asset exit strategies across a complex and high-impact portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate recovery outcomes under a range of restructuring and enforcement strategies.
  • Evaluate borrower business plans, cash flow forecasts, and turnaround proposals to determine financial viability and repayment capacity.
  • Analyse financial statements, management accounts, and sector trends to identify key valuation drivers and quantify risk exposure.
  • Prepare valuation reports and recovery recommendations for credit committees, senior management, and regulatory audiences.
  • Monitor distressed portfolio accounts to identify shifts in collateral values or borrower circumstances that may affect recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with credit risk, legal, and finance teams to coordinate problem-credit management and support enforcement, asset disposal, and insolvency proceedings where required.
Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Brings 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, corporate restructuring, distressed debt, special assets, or corporate and investment banking.
  • Applies corporate valuation methodologies with confidence, including DCF analysis and relative valuation (multiples) techniques, across a range of industrial sectors.
  • Builds advanced financial models using Microsoft Excel and specialist financial analysis tools to support complex credit assessments.
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal formats, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works with a high degree of autonomy and accountability while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Practical experience working with non-performing loans, distressed debt portfolios, or restructuring transactions strengthens your application.
  • Exposure to insolvency proceedings or enforcement strategies in a banking or advisory context is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with provisioning, impairment assessment, or regulatory credit review processes would be a valuable addition to the team.
What We Offer

  • A performance-driven environment where your analytical work contributes directly to strategic outcomes and business results.
