Job summary

LSEG is seeking an ESG data specialist to drive content offerings and data workflows. You will collaborate with engineering to design end-to-end data flows, implement SQL-driven data extraction and visualization, and lead automation projects while applying ESG and regulatory insights to improve market intelligence.

Responsibilities

Job description

SFI Specialist team provides domain expertise, skills and specific knowledge in order to build and to maintain the content currently covered on existing databases or using that knowledge to test future databases, tools and systems. The Specialist team has expertise in researching existing and new ESG standards and regulations in the market and work with business and other internal teams to improve our ESG content offering.

Role, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

• Work with Engineering teams to build documents and communicate end-to-end data flow from collection to product for new content offerings and enhancements to existing data flows.
• Write SQL scripts to extract data from database, normalize and visualize to deliver business requirements.
• Provide specifications for new technology solutions and infrastructures. Support implementations, monitoring and testing.
• Resolve customer queries by interrogating database using SQL and identifying issue with data distribution and provide strategic fix for the same.
• Participates in the development of new business proposals and assists on other ongoing project work.
• Lead automation and transformation projects.
• Develop expertise on new content management tools & infrastructure and implement the same in the operations processes.

Required Skills:

• Candidate must have intermediate to advanced MS SQL skill.
• Exposure to using Artificial Intelligence for automation, simplification or data quality improvements.
• Excellent storytelling skill
• Good understanding of Sustainability (including ESG) content, marketplace, frameworks and regulations.
• Ability to research evolving regulations and deriving meaningful insights and clear plan of action
• Experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously
• A good track record of delivering projects on time on scope and as per specifications including prioritization and requirements alignment across contending demand from internal and external customers
• Research and Analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Certifications in Sustainability ( ESG )
• Data Science skills including Python
• Working knowledge of using Financial Market data systems e.g. LSEG Workspace
