Job summary

M&G India is seeking a Senior Manager to drive Consulting and Technology projects across processes and businesses, applying design thinking, Lean Six Sigma, and governance to drive excellence.

The role focuses on advisory services to business units, transformation programs, and value realisation, with responsibility for 2-3 consultants and collaboration with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

9 to 12 years’ experience , the Senior Manager is responsible to manage Consulting/Technology projects across processes/ businesses driving excellence through design thinking, consulting, project management etc.

The role requires to bring in best practices from the industry and provides solutions/recommendations to the client. Provide advisory services to business units, help solve issues, create value, maximise growth and improve business performance in the areas of strategy, structure, management & operations using established frameworks & methodologies

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking methodologies to solve business problems and drive operational excellence.
• Conduct process diagnostics, root cause analysis, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement process, operating model, automation, AI, and digital transformation solutions.
• Develop process maps and Value Stream Maps (VSMs) to optimise workflows and eliminate waste.
• Analyse business and operational data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define requirements, align objectives, and drive solution adoption.
• Manage transformation projects, including governance, risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation.
• Prepare executive-level reporting, presentations, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Perform benchmarking and identify industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Additional Responsibilities

Business Development:

• Identify new project opportunities within the business area, and proactively pitch for more work for Process Excellence as a whole, including building the consulting vertical even further

People Management and Internal initiatives:

• Managing a span of 2-3 FTEs of Consultants/Associate Consultants
• Providing coaching and guidance to team members
• Train and mentor new joiners, or up-skill tenured team members
• To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise
• Compliance – understand and adhere to M&G’s Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills:

• Confident & excellent communication
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
• Understanding of Power BI/other visualisation tools
• Ability to conduct workshops using Design Thinking technique

Knowledge & Skills (Additional):

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and establishing professional rapport

• Commercial awareness and third party management capability

Experience:

• Proven working experience of minimum 9 years as a process consultant with experience
• leading medium / high impact projects
• Experienced in working with international stakeholders preferably from UK
• Experience of managing projects involving Investments domain/Migration/Rationalisation of applications/Technology and Cloud transformation

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred but not required)
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Any Microsoft cloud certifications
• Investment Banking related certifications is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms/ Appian and Co-Pilot
