Job summary

Deloitte & Touche GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Delhi is seeking a Senior Consultant to manage Oracle databases across on-premises and OCI environments, delivering installations, upgrades, patching, backups, and tuning.

You will design and operate Oracle databases on OCI, work with OCI services, support migrations, and develop SQL/PLSQL while aligning with HA/DR and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Oracle databases in OCI and on-premises.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL development skills.
• Experience with RAC, Data Guard, backup/recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Oracle databases across on-premises and OCI environments.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Design and manage Oracle databases on OCI, including compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Work with OCI services such as OCI Compute, Object Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, IAM, Monitoring, Logging, and related services.
• Support database migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
• Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and queries.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques.
• Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as RAC, Data Guard, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Monitor database health, capacity, performance, and availability and proactively resolve issues.
• Implement database security, access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements.
• Automate routine DBA activities using Shell scripting, Python, or OCI automation tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with application, data engineering, cloud, and infrastructure teams to support end-to-end solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and database architecture/design documents.
