Job summary

Zoho is inviting applications for a Senior Consultant in General & Laparoscopic Surgery at Kopar Khairne, Navi Mumbai, India. The position requires leading the department and providing expert consultation for MAS patients and diagnosing surgical disorders of the urogenital system.

The role includes performing laparoscopic procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, inguinal and ventral hernias, and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team while adhering to NABH standards

Qualifications

• MS or DNB in General & Laparoscopic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and manage all MAS patients.
• Diagnose, treat, and help prevent benign and malignant surgical disorders of the urogenital system.
• Perform laparoscopic surgeries including hernia repair, gallstone removal, appendicitis, etc.
• Independently perform basic laparoscopic procedures: Lap Cholecystectomy, lap appendicectomy, Lap Inguinal and Ventral Hernia, Diagnostic Laparoscopy.
• Willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Key areas of responsibility:

1. 1. To provide expert consultation and manage all MAS patients.
2. 2. Diagnose, treat, and help prevent benign and malignant surgical disorders of the urogenital system.
3. 3. To operate all kind of laparoscopic surgeries like hernia repair, gallstone removal, appendicitis etc.
4. 4. Independently perform all Basic Laparoscopic procedures including Lap Cholecystectomy, lap appendicectomy, Lap Inguinal and Ventral Hernia and Diagnostic Laparoscopy.
5. 5. Should be willing to work in a multi disciplinary team.
6. 6. Understand responsibility pertaining to hospital codes.
7. 7. Must be familiar with NABH standards, protocols and documentation process.
8. 8. Examine patients using equipment, such as radiography (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.
9. 9. Treat MAS patients using alternatives to traditional surgery.
10. 10. Direct the work of nurses, residents, or other staff to provide patient care and be a partner in their ongoing training.
11. 11. Provide MAS consultation to physicians or other health care professionals.
12. 12. Document or review patients' histories.
13. 13. Observing and monitoring patients during surgery.
14. 14. Resuscitating and stabilizing patients in the emergency department
15. 15. To be available for emergency calls of the O.T. & the Emergency Department.
16. 16. To facilitate teaching and training programs of O.T. Nurses, Technicians & Resident Doctors.
17. 17. To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices, familiar with NABH protocols.
