Sattva is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Foundations Advisory team in Delhi/Bangalore on a contract basis. You will engage with practitioners and donors, guiding a small team to deliver high-impact social outcomes.

Responsibilities include delivering client-ready insights, dashboards, and strategic recommendations, while building lasting relationships and ensuring project profitability through strong management and data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of consulting, operations, business development or stakeholder management experience.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in business management or rural development.
• Exceptional problem-solving and advisory capabilities with strong presentation and data analytics skills.
• Experience in client-facing roles with diverse stakeholder management.
• Strong communication skills and prior team leadership experience.

About the Team

Foundations team collaborates with a network of global philanthropic foundations, alongside multilateral aid agencies, aiming to inform, influence, and profoundly impact social and environmental outcomes resulting from their investments in diverse sectors such as education, child development, gender, health, and more. Our primary focus is on catalysing ecosystem transformation by rigorously solving problems, formulating strategic solutions which are logically sound, effective on the ground and ensuring all stakeholders are effectively engaged while their interests are covered.

The Opportunity

The Senior Consultant will play a key role in the project. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager and a small team of 3-4 members to engage with practitioners, donors and other stakeholders, bring in innovative thinking and insights, inspire and guide the team to ensure the achievement of the intended outcomes.

In addition, the following will be the key responsibilities:

Delivery Excellence

• Take overall accountability of customer success through active listening, problem solving and providing strategic inputs which align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem
• Co-create solutions to meet client’s current and future needs, working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
• Influence decision making and action at the senior level of high impact organizations to enable positive and sustainable impact
• Develop, manage and grow working relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Ensure strong project management, team management and overall profitability of projects

Data Analysis and visualization

• Conduct quantitative/qualitative analysis on the data to cull out meaning relevant to client problem
• Design client problem relevant data dashboards and visualizations
• Mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganize said data in a format that is simple and concise
• Use statistical tools (as relevant to the project) to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts

Market Engagement

• Keep abreast of new and current trends within the social impact space, approaches to enable scalable impact
• Work closely with prospective clients, business development and sales teams to ensure accurate scope of works, high quality approach and accurate effort estimation
• Contribute towards the organization's overall thought leadership strategy by generating meaningful content relevant to the ecosystem

Institution Building

• Lead internal strategic initiatives at the unit or organizational level that help contribute towards Sattva’s continued development
• Participate in building and strengthening internal systems and processes which contribute towards effective and efficient functioning of the unit and organization
• Contribute towards the development of junior team members, and towards a strong culture and working environment overall
• Build, structure and develop knowledge to share internally within the organization and at the ecosystem level

Key qualifications and experiences

• 6-8 years of experience in consulting, complex operations, business development and stakeholder management in corporate, social enterprises, consulting firms or global foundations or robust entrepreneurial background
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in business management or rural management/development
• Exceptional problem-solving and advisory skills, strong presentation and data analytical abilities
• Prior experience in a client or customer facing role and diverse stakeholder management
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
• Prior experience in leading teams and people management
• Self-driven, high-energy, curious and adaptable personality with the ability to produce high quality work and who has an entrepreneurial mindset
