Make an impact as a Senior Consultant in ourEnterprise Risk – Technology Risk team. This diverse team ofprofessionals utilizes leading-edge industry knowledge to assist clients inmitigating risk. As a trusted advisor, you’ll identify and address enterpriseissues, evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls and optimize systemdesign to mitigate clients’ risk of system interruption.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Enterprise RiskServices such as risks assessments, internal audits, performance and controlsimprovement, IT/systems audits, independent risk advisory on largebusiness/technology transformations, compliance programs, developing riskmanagement policies and frameworks and assisting with risk mitigationstrategies
- Accountable for assessing business processes andinternal control frameworks across a range of industries identifyingopportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes andcontrols through the development of enterprise risk/operational risk managementprograms
- Deliver industry and technical expertise ininformation security through client interactions, research and analysis,reports, technical work, management presentations, and proposals
- Execute walkthroughs and control testing in supportof ICFR/ITGC engagements and recommend/ implement process improvements relatedto current processes and design of controls
- Participate in the development and delivery and/orcontribution towards thought leadership, including delivery oftraining andsupporting development of published thought leadership content
- Determine engagement scope, programs, criteria andprocedures to fully execute the work
- Obtain, analyse and evaluate audit documentation,previous reports, data and flowcharts
- Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’sinterventions
- Ensure detailed process and control narratives areproperly documented and prepare findings
- Engage in continuous knowledge developmentregarding rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performancestandards of various sectors
- Manage project financials (budgets, WIP, timelybilling, collection, variance recognition)
- Execute project management tasks through theprovision of client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling andcoordinating engagements
- Facilitate collaboration with client engagementteam prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles andresponsibilities, risk areas and deadlines
- Provide support and supervision to more junior teammembers during the delivery of client engagements
- Support sales processes, including but not limitedto proposal writing, attending and actively participating in sales meetings,supporting the development of work plan effort estimates and quotes, etc.
- Identify ways to maximize the relationship withclients and deliver added value
- Maintain high-quality control by reviewing workdone from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback toteam members
- Monitor project timelines against targets,adjusting where necessary, and advise clients of project status
- Leverage team appropriately to ensure properdocumentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the fileare followed accordingly
- Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services,businesses and industry
- Contribute to the development of new ideas andapproaches in order to improve work processes
Requirements
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance,economics, engineering, math, science, computer science or other related field
- Completion of a CPA, CIA, CISA, or CGAP isconsidered an asset (completion of other relevant designations in riskmanagement, technology risk, or privacy is considered an asset)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, mostof which is in risk management, internal audit, or accounting/finance
- Experience in innovative technology such asblockchain or AI/machine learning is considered an asset
- Experience leading projects start to finish
- Experience identifying and quantifying threats,risks and opportunities as well as interviewing clients and being able tounderstand and document risks, root causes, impacts and mitigation
- Experiencein business and practice development
- Willingto learn and employ data analytics
EducationalQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance,economics, engineering, math, science, computer science or other related field
Certifications
