Job summary

ReOrbit, based in Bangalore, seeks a Senior Cloud Infra Engineer to own and scale Azure cloud infrastructure from the Bangalore office. You will lead architecture, automation, security and reliability, collaborating with teams in Helsinki and Bangalore within a two-hub model.

As the role matures, you will own Mission Control and Ground Segment cloud infrastructure, driven by a strong focus on automation, observability and incident response.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud or Infrastructure engineering roles.
• Deep hands-on Microsoft Azure experience (compute, networking, storage, IAM).
• CI/CD pipeline design and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform / ARM / Bicep).
• Strong networking and security fundamentals (VPNs, segmentation, access control).
• Experience owning production infrastructure reliability and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure platform architecture, provisioning and governance across ReOrbit’s cloud environment.
• Manage network infrastructure design, security groups, VPNs and connectivity.
• Own infrastructure-as-code for repeatable, auditable deployments.

Job description

ReOrbit is looking for a Senior Cloud Infra Engineer to own and scale our Azure cloud infrastructure from our Bangalore office.

As our Senior Cloud Infra Engineer, you will be the technical owner of ReOrbit’s cloud platform, working closely with our teams in Helsinki and Bangalore as part of our two-hub operating model. You will take over work currently delivered by an external DevOps and infrastructure consultant, with structured knowledge transfer in your first months.

You will be responsible for the architecture, automation, security and reliability of our cloud environment. As the role matures, you will grow into owning the cloud infrastructure, automation and reliability engineering for our Mission Control and Ground Segment.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure platform architecture, provisioning and governance across ReOrbit’s cloud environment.
• Manage network infrastructure design, security groups, VPNs and connectivity.
• Own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / ARM) for repeatable, auditable deployments.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Drive infrastructure automation, including provisioning, configuration management and self-healing systems.
• Implement and own monitoring, alerting and observability tooling across cloud infrastructure.
• Own disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Implement security controls across cloud infrastructure in partnership with the Head of Security.
• Document architecture, runbooks and procedures, lead knowledge transfer from the current external DevOps consultant, and coordinate with vendors.
• Grow into ownership of Mission Control and Ground Segment cloud infrastructure, automation and reliability engineering as the role matures.

Skills and Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud or Infrastructure engineering roles.
• Deep hands-on Microsoft Azure experience (compute, networking, storage, IAM).
• CI/CD pipeline design and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform / ARM / Bicep).
• Strong networking and security fundamentals (VPNs, segmentation, access control).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus or equivalent).
• Experience owning production infrastructure reliability and incident response.
• Comfortable working toward mission-critical, high-availability system ownership.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, satellite or other mission-critical operational environments.
• Kubernetes or other container orchestration experience.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500 or equivalent).
• Experience transitioning work from external consultants or vendors into an internal team.
• Scripting ability (Python, PowerShell or Bash) for automation.
• Exposure to ground segment, SCADA or other real-time operational systems.
• Experience scaling infrastructure ownership from start-up to enterprise.

Working mode

• Location: Bangalore, India, working from the office with one work-from-home day per week.
