Job summary

TriNet is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations professional to maintain multi-cloud infrastructure, ensure reliability, and drive security, performance, and automation across AWS and OCI environments.

The role emphasizes strong Kubernetes expertise (EKS/OKE), policy enforcement with Kyverno, and image management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to documentation and optimization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud/operations roles.
• Strong proficiency with container technologies incl. Kubernetes, EKS, Nirmata.
• Experience with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, MSK, EMR, Sagemaker, MWAA, RDS, ElastiCache.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible).
• Linux OS administration (RedHat/CentOS) and virtualization (VMware/OpenStack).
• Knowledge of information security principles and compliance requirements (SOX/HIPAA/PII).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AWS & OCI infrastructure and managed services.
• Work with Kubernetes technologies (AWS EKS, OCI OKE) and policy engines like Kyverno.
• Manage golden images and host OS/containers; enforce IAM and org policies.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to ensure reliable delivery.
• Create technical documentation and provide runbooks for operations teams.
• Support compute and storage administration and drive automation initiatives.

Job Summary

Cloud Operations is responsible for maintaining reliability, performance, and security of our multi-cloud infrastructure, enterprise services, and TriNet's customer portal. Key role responsibilities include developing infrastructure enhancements, facilitating POCs, deployments/upgrades, and managing ongoing tasks.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AWS & OCI infrastructure & managed services
• Strong experience with kubernetes technologies, specifically AWS EKS and OCI OKE
• Experience with policy engines such as Kyverno
• Experience with golden image management for host OS and Containers
• Experience with AWS Org, SCPs and strong IAM foundation
• Strong Linux OS troubleshooting, performance tuning skills & monthly patching
• GitHub, Stash, Artifactory, Confluence/Jira and related technologies
• Strong coding skills (yaml/json, Python, shell, CDK Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with leveraging AWS automation technologies (ie: trigger events/Lamda) to achieve operational efficiency gains.
• Evaluate new technologies in order to achieve business objectives and innovation.
• Create technical documentation as necessary.
• Provide support to compute and storage administration team.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and support staff to ensure continuous and reliable delivery of service.

• Strong background in hypervisor technologies (VMware, OpenStack/MCP)
• Strong background in Linux operating system administration (RedHat/CentOS, Satellite)
• Experience with Information Security principles, technologies, and best practices
• Experience with change management controls, SOX/HIPAA/PII auditory compliance
