Job summary

EY India seeks a Staff level professional for EY - GDS Consulting focusing on AI and DATA on GCP. The role involves building data pipelines, leveraging GCP services, and delivering scalable data warehouse solutions. Strong analytics, SQL, and programming skills are required.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, proficiency in Python/Java, and experience with Hadoop/Spark ecosystems, along with excellent communication as part of global teams.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MCA/MBA required with minimum 3+ years hands-on experience in one or more key areas.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, data engineering, and analytics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in global teams.

Responsibilities

• Work on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data pipelines and architecture.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions).
• Develop data solutions with Spark, PySpark, and Scala for large-scale processing.
• Utilize Git, Jenkins, and Cloud Build for CI/CD and version control.
• Obtain and apply relevant GCP certifications and cloud/data engineering credentials.
• Design scalable data warehouse solutions and integrate various components.
• Strong SQL skills and data querying expertise for analysis and reporting.
• 2+ years in data warehousing, data modelling, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Proficient in Python/Java development and Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative team player.

The opportunity

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with streaming and messaging technologies such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Apache Kafka on GCP.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and architectures using GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Functions.
• Proficiency in Spark, PySpark, and Scala for big data processing.
• Experience with software version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Cloud Build.
• Relevant GCP certifications or other professional technical certifications in cloud and data engineering.
• Experience with cloud or on-premises middleware and enterprise integration technologies.
• Skilled in writing MapReduce, Spark, or Dataflow jobs for large-scale data processing.
• Strong background in architecting scalable data warehouse solutions and integrating various technical components.
• Excellent analytical skills with deep knowledge of SQL and data querying.
• 2+ years of experience working in large-scale data warehousing environments.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 2+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting/analytics tools.
• 2+ years of experience in data modelling concepts.
• 2+ years of development experience in Python and/or Java.
• 2+ years of experience working with Big Data ecosystems such as Hadoop, Spark and related technologies.
