Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and develop infrastructure interfaces for complex business applications and to contribute to improvements in DevOps practices.

You will work on server configuration management, release management, deployments, and automation, while setting up Development, Staging, UAT, and Production environments with industry best practices. This role requires 4–9 years of DevOps experience and strong scripting and cloud platform skills.

Qualifications

4 to 9 years of experience in DevOps with Full time Bachelor’s /Master’s degree (Science or Engineering preferred)
Expertise in Deployment tools (Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Nebula/Nolio)
Experience with SCM (TFS, GIT, ClearCase) and build tools (Ant, Maven, Make, Gradle)
Experience with artifact repositories (Nexus, JFrog Artifactory) and CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity)
Proficient in scripting languages: Python, Bash, Shell
Extensive experience with Git-like distributed version control systems and release management
Experience deploying and managing Apache/Nginx/Tomcat/JBoss in production
Hands-on experience with GCP/AWS/Azure to create networks and production infra
Linux/Unix environment expertise
Knowledge of cloud/resource management and Docker

Responsibilities

Facilitate the implementation and support of application/web server infrastructure for complex business applications.
Responsible for Server configuration management, release management, deployments, automation & troubleshooting.
Set-up and configure Development, Staging, UAT, and Production server environment for projects and install/configure all dependencies using the industry best practices.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience:

4 to 9 years of experience in DevOps with Full time Bachelor’s /Master’s degree (Science or Engineering preferred)
Expertise in DevOps tools:

Deployment (Chef/Puppet/Ansible /Nebula/Nolio)
SCM (TFS, GIT, ClearCase)
Build tools (Ant, Maven, Make, Gradle)
Artifact repositories (Nexus, JFrog ArtiFactory)
CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity),

Experienced in scripting languages: Python, Ant, Bash, and Shell
Extensive experience with TFS / Git like distributed version control systems and their use in release management, branching, merging, and integration strategies
Extensive experience in developing and automating deployment tools Experience in installation, configuration and managing apache webserver, Tomcat/Jboss
Hands-on experience of GCP/AWS/AZURE to create network subnets, launch instances, create a load balancer in a Production Environment
Working experience with LINUX/UNIX environment.

Knowledge and Experience in managing Cloud/VMWare resources and good exposure on Dockers
Experience in signing and designing highly available infrastructure
Experience in Advanced scripting skills to automate jobs (start, stop, recycle, deploy, etc.)
Good understanding of JVM, troubleshooting, and performance tuning through thread dump and log analysis
Knowledge of network infrastructure for e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall, router, load balancer, etc.
Understanding of clusters, Virtual Hosts, JDBC, auto-deployment, session replication, URL redirections, Re-write rules, Http-plugins, security certificates, etc.
