Placenet Consultants in Chennai is seeking a Senior Category Analyst for Indirect Procurement to lead end-to-end sourcing and develop category roadmaps. The role covers software, SaaS, hardware, and IT services.

You will negotiate with suppliers, manage renewals with Legal/Finance/IT, and drive spend analytics with advanced Excel/Power BI, delivering governance and risk dashboards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position: Senior Category Analyst - Indirect Procurement

Qualification: Bachelor's / Master's in Supply Chain or Engineering preferred

Experience: 25 years in indirect procurement & category Management

Shift Time: 2 PM to 11 PM (UK Shift) Oneway cab will be provided (doorstep drop alone)

Job Location: Raheja Towers (Anna Salai).

Salary: 5LPA

Experience Required:

• Experience in strategic sourcing, indirect procurement, category management, and vendor management, including technology procurement across software, SaaS, software licensing, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, networking equipment, and IT services.
• Hands-on experience managing competitive sourcing events, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and commercial discussions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - preferably POWER BI
• Experience in SpendHQ, Yardi, Exiger, SharePoint, DocuSign, or similar platforms preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently & multitasking abilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end sourcing (RFI/RFQ/RFP, supplier evaluation, award recommendations)

- Develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, risk; lead negotiations

- Manage contract & renewal calendars; coordinate renewals with Legal/Finance/IT

- Develop category strategies/roadmaps; analyze spend and supplier performance

- Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, scorecards, QBRs, action plans

- Manage governance/compliance reporting, supplier risk & due diligence support

- Maintain sourcing pipeline reporting, dashboards, KPI and executive reporting

- Partner across Procurement, IT, Legal, Finance, Marketing stakeholders
