Job summary

Cognyte Analytics India is seeking an experienced C++ engineer to research and reverse engineer IP protocol families and to design robust, high-performance components for deep packet inspection. You will collaborate with architects and product owners to shape the overall architecture and ensure coding standards are upheld.

The role requires 5+ years with C++, strong knowledge of templates, STL and Boost, and a B.Sc. in CS or CE.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with C++, including templates, STL and Boost libraries.
• Knowledge of networking and IP protocols across all layers.
• Experience with large-scale and complex systems.
• Experience with developing networking applications is an advantage.
• Familiarity with packet inspection tools is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.

As a Cognyter you will:

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code for deep packet inspection of IP traffic.
• Work closely with architects and product owners to contribute to overall architecture and system design.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining coding standards and best practices; provide mentoring and professional guidance to junior colleagues.

For that mission youll need:

• 5+ years of professional experience with C++, working experience with templates, STL, boost libraries.
• B.Sc. in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent degree
• Knowledge of networking and IP protocols (all layers including application layer)
• Experience with developing large scale and complex system solutions.
• Experience with developing networking applications is an advantage.
• Familiarity with packet inspection tools is an advantage.
• Solution orientation and "can do" attitude with a desire to tackle complex problems.
• A team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Excellent English verbal and written.
