Job summary

Algoappdigital is seeking a skilled BI Developer in Chennai, India, to lead the design, development, and deployment of BI dashboards using Power BI and Oracle tools. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions and managing robust ETL processes.

Job description

Lead the design, development, and deployment of BI dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI and Oracle BI tools (OBIEE/OAC).Extract and transform data from Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, SCM) using BICC, OTBI, FBDI, and REST APIs along with other database sources or files etc.Architect and optimize data models and semantic layers to support complex reporting needs.Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to understand requirements and deliver analytical solutions.Implement and manage robust ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), SQL, or OIC.Ensure data integrity, governance, and security across all BI platforms.Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to BI development standards and best practices.Provide production support and continuously improve reporting performance and reliability.Engage with various business heads, gather requirements, guide them on industry’s best practices, KPI’s etc. and deliver as required.Centralize the dashboard and analytics platform/architecture which can be reused across entities.Develop various system usage reports and statistics with trend analysis from Oracle Fusion and other systems and schedule them to various business heads based on profiles with security.Train the business users to prepare basic level dashboards for their internal requirements.Upgrade the platform based on the latest trends, tools, platform, software etc. and always keep the environment future ready.Prepare dashboards for management, CXO, business heads and analytics and present them on a periodic basis.

Must Have

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and custom visuals.
• Strong experience with Oracle BI tools such as OBIEE, Oracle FDI and/or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
• Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion data models and extraction methods (BICC, OTBI, FBDI).
• Strong experience in visualization and building good UI/UX dashboards/analytics.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good command in oral and written English language.
• Proactive and extrovert and strong in grasping/understanding the business processes and convert to the required dashboards and analytics.
• Skills in AI, GENAI, chat GPT, Open AI, RPA , power apps, NLP, Python etc. will be added advantage.
