Job summary

State Street Corporation's State Street Investment Management arm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge Portfolio Managers, Traders and Technology teams across the end-to-end trading lifecycle.

You will gather requirements, document specifications, perform functional analysis, and participate in testing and monitoring of the trading system, with an emphasis on delivering enhancements for workflow, reports and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Business Analyst experience in Asset Management.
• Experience placing trades and using trading/portfolio management systems.
• Investment Banking domain certification or CFA certification.
• Knowledge of multiple asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Currency, Derivatives, Swaps).
• Experience with trading compliance rules.
• Work with global stakeholders across time zones.
• SDLC Agile practice, JIRA tool and Confluence.
• Basic SQL queries for data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a Senior Business Analyst involving requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation, integration testing, user acceptance testing and monitoring the trading system.
• Prepare implementation proposals to the business and IT and carry out testing strategy.
• Deep analysis and detailed understanding of the system and capturing them in details.
• Plan and execute integration and user acceptance testing.
• Perform functional and data analysis for support queries/defects.
• Understand business priorities and ensure delivery.
• Involve in Agile practice and act as scrum master as required.
• Utilize JIRA and supporting tools; create dashboards as needed.

You will be joining the Trade Portal team, part of State Street Investment Management (SSIM), one of the world's largest asset managers. The team supports a business-critical platform that enables the end-to-end trading lifecycle across a wide range of investment products and serves as a key integration point for portfolio management, compliance, and trading systems. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in connecting Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Technology teams, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective solutions. Your contributions will help drive seamless trade execution, improve operational efficiency, and support the ongoing evolution of a platform that is fundamental to investment decision-making and trade management across SSIM. Responsibilities

• Contribute as a Senior Business Analyst involving in requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation, integration testing, user acceptance testing and monitoring the trading system.
• Requirements includes new functional requirements / projects, trade workflow enhancements, report generations for clients, regulatory requirements, automation projects and migration projects.
• Prepare implementation proposal to the business and IT, and also carry out the testing strategy.
• Deep analysis and detailed understanding of the system and capturing them in details.
• Plan and execute integration and user acceptance testing.
• Perform functional and data analysis for the support queries / defects raised.
• Understand the business priorities and ensure the team delivers those priorities.
• Involve in Agile practice and be as scrum master as required.
• Utilize JIRA and supporting tools effectively, create required dashboard as per the project need.
• Collaborate with various teams (Business, Global IT counterparts, external application counterparts).
• Communicate effectively in verbal & written communications.

Preferred qualifications and education

• 10+ years of solid Business Analyst experience in Asset Management Domain
• Work experience in placing trading and using Trading systems / Portfolio Management systems
• Investment Banking domain certification or CFA certification
• Strong knowledge in investment banking and multiple asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Currency, Forwards, Derivatives, Options, Swaps)
• Good knowledge in Trading compliance rules
• Work experience with Global business stakeholders at various time zones
• SDLC Agile practice, JIRA Tool
• Basic database knowledge for simple data analysis independently using SQL queries
• Experience in creating diagrams, artifacts using the collaborative tools like confluence
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written communications
