Job summary

AECOM India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Deputy Designer - Bridges to Senior Designer - BIM Bridges for Bengaluru and Gurugram. You will develop and manage precise 3D BIM models, create drawings, and coordinate multidisciplinary design workflows to support bridge projects.

The role requires at least 5 years in structural BIM for bridges, strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, and experience with BIM standards and project coordination. Hybrid work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Recognized Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural modelling and detailing, with focus on bridges.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling using tools like Revit Structures and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, and other industry-standard tools.
• Strong English written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Job Description

Deputy Designer - Bridges supports project delivery by creating accurate and coordinated digital models essential for design development and construction. This role demands technical proficiency, collaboration, and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

BIM Modeling & Documentation

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models using Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, or other BIM tools.
• Produce high-quality drawings, schedules, and reports aligned with project requirements.
• Ensure model accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry and company standards.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in BIM tools: Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or discipline-specific BIM software.
• Proficiency in Bridge detailing in AutoCAD is desirable.
• Proficiency in Modelling and detailing Building structure in Revit is desirable.
• Proficiency in Modelling and detailing Steel connections is desirable.
• Proficiency in Modelling and detailing Steel Bridges /or Industrial buildings is desirable.
• Experience model coordination, and multidisciplinary integration.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, model structures, and Level of Detail (LOD) requirements.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Recognized Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering modelling and detailing, with a focus on bridges.
• Proven expertise in 3D modelling using tools like Revit Structures and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, and other industry-standard tools.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction sequencing.
• Ability to create custom families and templates to enhance BIM workflows.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in English, with a strong command of technical terminology.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 or COBie standards is highly desirable.
