Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Recovery Analyst Senior to join the Enterprise Business Resilience team.

You will assess, plan, and exercise critical processes to ensure continuity and disaster readiness across our global operations. The role involves leading discussions on technology architectures, coordinating resilience activities, and driving program compliance while leveraging tools like ServiceNow and Archer.

Qualifications

• Understanding technology and architecture across mainframe, distributed systems, cloud, and containers.
• Ability to lead/follow in a team environment and take initiative to complete work.
• Experience with business continuity tools or disaster recovery concepts is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and exercise critical business processes for continuity or disaster recovery.
• Schedule and host meetings to discuss technology, resilience architectures, and program compliance.
• Conduct BIAs, create/update recovery plans, and track related tasks and risks.
• Plan exercises and collect/tracking risk issues; most tasks are annual.

What You’ll Own

• Team is responsible for assessing/planning/exercising critical business processes to ensure business continuity or disaster recovery.
• The candidate can expect to be scheduling/hosting many meetings to discuss technology and its related attributes, disaster recovery/resilience architectures and program compliance issues.
• This will include conducting BIAs (risk assessments), creating/updating recovery plans and associated tasks required, planning required to schedule exercises, and collecting/tracking risk issues.
• Most of these items are completed on an annual basis.
• There are currently no on-call responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

• Someone who understands technology (applications, middleware, databases, and storage) and architecture (mainframe (IBM/Tandem), distributed systems (windows, linux, unix, etc), cloud, containers (Kubernetes/Docker), network) and can converse fluidly about it.
• Someone who works well with others (good personality, ability to lead/follow, open minded)
• Someone who is a \"self-starter\" or initiative to recognize and complete work as needed

It’s a bonus if you have

• Has worked with business continuity tools (Archer, Fusion, LDRPS, Service Now BCM, etc)
• Someone with understanding/knowledge of cloud applications (AWS, Azure) would be helpful.
• ServiceNow experience would be helpful.
