Job summary

smartShift Technologies invites an experienced SAP Basis – Sr. Consultant to join our Bangalore team. You will lead core SAP Basis administration, migrations to S/4HANA, and cloud/on-premise maintenance, ensuring high availability and security.

The role requires strong problem solving, communication, and willingness to work weekends/night shifts; certifications in OS/DB migration or SAP BASIS fundamentals are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong SAP Basis administration knowledge and ability to solve complex technical issues.
• Experience in planning, implementing, upgrading, migrating SAP modules on premise and cloud preferred.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA conversion would be a plus.
• Certified in OS/DB Migration or SAP BASIS Fundamentals with HANA DB is desirable.
• Understanding SAP application security, SSO, HA, DR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Execute S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, and implementations independently and resolve Hana upgrade issues.
• Lead the team technically on production support and resolve day-to-day technical issues.
• Be willing to work on weekends and night shifts as project demands.

JOB DESCRIPTION

smartShiftTechnologies is looking for a SAP Basis – Sr. Consultant to join our Bangaloreteam.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Candidateshould have strong Basis knowledge and abilities that include coreadministration of SAP production systems as well as aptitude for identifyingand solving various technical problems
• Strongknowledge & hands-on experience in technical planning, implementation,upgrades, migration and maintenance of various SAP modules on premise and oncloud (preferable)
• Knowledge onS/4HANA Conversion would be a big plus
• Certifiedconsultant either in OS/DB Migration or SAP BASIS Fundamentals with HANA DB
• Goodknowledge and understanding of SAP Application Security, Single Sign-ON Technologies,Infrastructure Security, High Availability, Disaster Recovery etc. will be abig plus.
• Must have strong SAP Basis skills on Operating SystemsLinux/Unix, and Windows
• Strongexperience in most of the database like HANA, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase, Oracle andMaxDB. Knowledge on Sybase is preferable
• Knowledge of infrastructure, especially cloud infrastructureis a big plus
• Experiencein OS/DB/Infrastructure migration especially HANA migration using SUM/DMO fromany source database like Oracle/SQL/DB2
• Experiencein System refresh, system copy, Client copy, Client export/import
• Experiencein S4HANA Conversions, Migrations, EHP upgrades, SP updates, Patches, kernelupgrades and so on
• Goodexperience in HANA installation, administration and maintenance in scaled upand scaled out landscape
• Expertise inconfiguration of SAP systems not limiting to S4HANA, HANA, ECC, CRM, SCM,Portal, BW, PI, GRC, GTS, FIORI, solution manager.
• Experience with Solution manager 7.2
• Knowledge onHigh availability with various clustering tools, and disaster recovery setup.Big plus to have automation skills on any of the BASIS activities
• Should possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) &interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independentability to execute S4HANA migrations, upgrade, implementation projects andresolve issues especially with HANA upgrade and migration
• Lead the team technically on production support and resolve day-to-daytechnical issues
• Should be willing to work on weekends and on night shifts asproject demands

QUALIFICATION

• 5+ years’ experience as an SAP Basis Engineer
• SAPBasis and HANA related Certifications is a big plus.
