Job summary

AMINA Bank AG is seeking a highly motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our decentralized finance initiatives. You will design and implement scalable services using Spring Boot, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help translate domain knowledge into robust software.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of backend experience with Java or Kotlin, a solid understanding of microservices and REST, basic Kubernetes, Docker, and Agile practices.

• Proven 4+ years' experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with a focus on Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles.
• At least basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker).
• Experience with Azure DevOps tooling is an additional advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Project experience with finance/banking domains will be beneficial to fit the role.
• Experience in implementing FIX (Financial Information eXchange) based integrations, knowledge of trading instruments and terminology is an advantage.
• Nice to have: Experience in agentic development.
