Job summary

Phox Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems and APIs. You will collaborate with Product, Frontend, Mobile, and DevOps teams to deliver high-performance applications.

Responsibilities include designing and optimizing APIs, building scalable services, and integrating with third-party systems. You will mentor engineers and contribute to code quality through reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of database design, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
