Engineering Bangalore, India Full-time 3-5+ years

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (3-5+ years) to lead technical architecture decisions, design scalable systems, mentor junior developers, drive code quality standards, and own critical system components including cryptographic discovery engines and third-party integrations. You will implement features independently, contribute to API design, develop integration modules, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cryptographic asset discovery and inventory engine
• Build primarily agentless discovery workflows with support for optional agent-based modules
• Integrate with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, Tanium, Tenable, CrowdStrike)
• Develop backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs for cryptographic analysis, telemetry, and lifecycle workflows
• Contribute to AI-driven risk scoring and prioritization models
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows
• Support certificate, key, and protocol lifecycle visibility and management across distributed systems
• Design and implement data correlation models linking IT assets to cryptographic assets
• Develop normalization and deduplication logic for cryptographic data from multiple sources
• Implement temporal tracking systems for certificate rotation and cryptographic risk monitoring

Required Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python (required), Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS or similar backend frameworks
• Security & Cryptography: Solid understanding of TLS/SSL, PKI, cryptographic protocols, certificate lifecycle, key management
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure (Functions, App Service, AKS, ACR, Key Vault, storage, monitoring). AWS and GCP knowledge is a plus
• APIs & Integration: REST API design, GraphQL, third-party API integration (ServiceNow, Tanium, Tenable, CrowdStrike)
• Database Systems: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) in production systems, data modeling, query optimization
• DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, automated testing, deployment pipelines
• Security Tooling: Experience building security scanners, asset discovery systems, SIEM pipelines, IaC-driven deployments
• Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, certificate management, network protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rust for high-performance cryptographic operations
• Familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) for asset relationship modeling
• Knowledge of NIST PQC standards (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SPHINCS+, FN-DSA)
• Experience training or deploying AI/ML models in production systems
• Hands-on experience with OpenSSL, liboqs, or other cryptographic libraries
• Familiarity with Tanium, Tenable, or CrowdStrike APIs and SDKs
• Background in cybersecurity, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001), or regulatory technology
