Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Ahmedabad, India, is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and scale robust marine software systems. You will work on backend services in Java and Spring Boot, building secure REST APIs and event-driven systems while collaborating with frontend teams.

You will join a team focused on delivering scalable, observable infrastructure using Docker, CI/CD and cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years backend development experience with enterprise Java/Spring Boot.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient in Java 17+, REST APIs, async messaging and event-driven architecture.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge: schema design, indexing and tuning.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Comfortable working on Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services in Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable, secure REST APIs and event-driven systems.
• Implement and manage messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ).
• Design, optimize and maintain PostgreSQL databases for high-volume/time-series data.
• Deploy via Docker and CI/CD pipelines with integrated observability.
