As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the server‑side logic, APIs, and services that power our applications. You'll focus on designing scalable architectures, optimising performance, and ensuring system reliability. Your role will directly contribute to delivering high‑quality, secure, and efficient backend systems while collaborating closely with frontend and DevOps teams.

Architecture And Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of backend systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards.

System Reliability

• Optimise system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Implement automated testing (unit/integration) to ensure software reliability.
• Proactively address technical debt and scalability concerns.

Collaboration And Best Practices

• Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of backend processes and tools.

Cloud And Deployment

• Build and manage services on GCP/AWS (Azure is optional but not preferred).
