Hirojet, a rapidly expanding AI SaaS startup, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale robust backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines in Gurugram. You will collaborate closely with frontend, product, and AI teams to deliver integrated features while maintaining strong performance and security.

We value hands-on expertise with RESTful APIs, distributed data stores, and cloud-native architectures.

Formación

• 4–6 years of backend development experience in SaaS/AI startups.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with queues or event-driven architectures.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and testing.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to innovating and executing strategic initiatives across various functions. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate intimately with frontend engineers, product managers, and AI specialists to create integrated features and optimal user experiences.
• Ensure backend systems are reliable, secure, and perform well under varying loads.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code by adhering to contemporary backend methodologies.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure as code when applicable.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of backend features, from initial architecture to final deployment.
• Monitor production systems and address any performance or scalability challenges.
• Assist in architectural decisions and promote the evolution of engineering best practices.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in backend development, preferably in SaaS or AI-focused startups.
• Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
• A strong foundational understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Extensive experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch.
• Familiarity with message queues, job schedulers, or event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience utilizing Git, CI/CD tools, and writing unit/integration tests.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on performance and security.
