WirelessCar in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver backend services using modern cloud technologies and microservice architectures. You will own features end-to-end, mentor peers, and drive improvements in code quality and processes.
In this role, you will collaborate with global stakeholders, contribute to architectural decisions, and uphold testing, security, and operational excellence in a fast-changing environment.
WirelessCar empowers the future of mobility by connecting vehicles and delivering cutting-edge digital services. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Sweden, we have a strong global presence with offices in the U.S., China, Germany, India, and Japan, offering a truly global workplace with exciting opportunities for career growth.
Owned by Volkswagen Group, today we connect over 17 million vehicles across 100+ countries and partner with leading OEMs, including Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen Group, Nissan, and Subaru.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working with modern cloud technologies and microservice-based architectures. You will work in a dynamic environment, exploring new technologies and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services. You combine strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, take ownership of results, and act as an informal leader who mentors others and drives improvement.
Here’s what you’ll focus on:
You thrive in a fast-changing environment and take initiative to deliver complex features end-to-end. You contribute actively to technical discussions and code reviews, and bring ideas that strengthen both our solutions and our ways of working.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you mentor and guide less experienced engineers, share knowledge openly, and foster a culture of feedback and learning. You apply solid engineering practices in testing, operations, security, and documentation; and design solutions that follow architecture guidelines. You are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone, constructively challenging existing approaches, and driving improvement.
With a focus on quality and cost awareness, you design solutions that are robust, scalable, and efficient. You work independently while collaborating closely with your team to achieve shared goals.
The work location for this role is in our office in central Bangalore, India. At WirelessCar we believe in a hybrid work setup, with possibilities to work both from home and from the office.
The application deadline is 30-08-2026.
