Job summary

Intellistaff in India seeks an experienced Azure DevOps engineer for a hybrid role based in Pune, with opportunities across Bengaluru, Chennai or Hyderabad. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines, and automate data workloads with Databricks Asset Bundles.

Collaborate with data engineers and web developers to improve release velocity, security, and reliability. You will implement AppSec tooling, code quality gates, and secret management via Azure Key

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of hands-on Azure DevOps and data platform experience.
• Experience deploying and managing enterprise Azure data components (Databricks, ADF).
• Strong scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python and familiarity with CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Key ResponsibilitiesCI/CD & Automation

• Pipeline Architecture: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing both GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
• Data Ops Automation: Automate the packaging and deployment of data workloads using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) - Repos-based deployment for notebooks, jobs, and Delta Live Tables;
• Data Factory Orchestration: Manage automated deployment strategies for Azure Data Factory (ADF) across multi-environment landscapes.
• App Infrastructure: Implement automated deployment pipelines for Azure App Services, including Web Apps, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions (Java,C#).

Security & Code Quality Integration

• Shift-Left Security: Integrate and manage Application Security Testing (AppSec) tools directly within developer workflows.
• Vulnerability Scanning: maintain and monitor Veracode for Static (SAST), Dynamic (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) scans.
• Code Quality Gates: Implement and enforce quality gates using SonarQube to monitor code health, coverage, and technical debt.
• Secret Management: Secure application secrets, connection strings, and certificates using Azure Key Vault.
• AAD group/RBAC automation provisioning role-based access to Entra Id groups via CI/CD

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Collaboration

• Cloud Infrastructure: Define and provision Azure cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
• Team Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineers and Web Developers to optimize release velocity, reliability, and security compliance.

Required Skills & QualificationsCore Experience

• Platforms: Minimum of 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise environments.
• Data Ecosystems: Proven experience deploying and managing Azure data components (Databricks, ADF).
• Serverless & Web: Strong understanding of Azure compute services (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps).

Security & Quality Tools

• Proficient in configuring and interpreting results from Veracode and SonarQube.
• Experience in Service Principal lifecycle management and manage-identity access provisioning
• Familiarity with container security and cloud security posture management (CSPM).

Technical Skills

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with Git branching strategies and repository management.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts in Azure (VNet, Private Endpoints).
