Job summary

1203 Barclays Global Serv. Cent in Pune, India, is seeking a data engineering leader to build and maintain data architectures, pipelines, warehouses, and lakes.

You will collaborate with data scientists to deploy ML models and influence governance and policy development. The role requires expertise in Snowflake, SQL, DBT, Python, and AWS, with hands-on experience in Astronomer, PySQL, PySpark, CI/CD, PowerBI, Tableau, and Immuta.

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake, SQL, DBT, Python, and basic AWS.
• Proficiency in Astronomer, PySQL, PySpark, CI/CD, PowerBI, Tableau, and Immuta.
• Assessment of critical skills such as risk and controls, change management, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data architectures and pipelines that enable durable, complete, and consistent data transfer and processing.
• Design and implement data warehouses and lakes that manage appropriate data volumes and velocity while adhering to security measures.
• Develop processing and analysis algorithms suitable for the data complexity and volumes.
• Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
• Advise and influence decision‑making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with other functions or business divisions.
• Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance.
• Identify and mitigate risk, developing new policies and procedures to strengthen governance.
• Engage in complex data analysis from multiple internal and external sources and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Influence and convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
