Job summary

Technogen is seeking a Senior Autosys Engineer to design, implement and maintain AutoSys Workload Automation in a cloud-native environment on AWS and Kubernetes.

The role focuses on building scalable scheduling infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and smooth integration with containerized microservices. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on experience with AutoSys, AWS, scripting, and Linux in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AutoSys Workload Automation is required.
• Experience managing AutoSys infrastructure: Event Server, Agents, WCC.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architectures.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD integrations for automated deployments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain AutoSys components across environments.
• Monitor jobs, logs, and system health; resolve failures proactively.
• Upgrade, patch, and tune AutoSys components for performance.
• Design HA and DR strategies for scheduling infrastructure.
• Deploy and manage AutoSys on AWS with Kubernetes and containers.

Job Description:

The AutoSys Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and modernizing AutoSys Workload Automation in a cloud-native environment using AWS and Kubernetes. This role focuses on building scalable, highly available scheduling infrastructure and integrating AutoSys with containerized and microservices-based platforms.

Role and Responsibilities:

AutoSys Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain AutoSys components (Event Server, Scheduler, Agents, WCC)
• Manage job scheduling infrastructure across multiple environments (DEV, QA, PROD)
• Perform upgrades, patching, and configuration tuning
• Monitor jobs, logs, and system health; resolve failures proactively
• Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies

AWS Cloud Management

• Deploy and manage AutoSys infrastructure on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures
• Configure networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, load balancers)
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and cost
• Implement backup and DR solutions using AWS services

Kubernetes & Containerization

• Deploy and manage AutoSys agents or related workloads in Kubernetes (EKS)
• Containerize AutoSys-related services using Docker
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, namespaces, deployments, and services
• Implement auto-scaling, rolling deployments, and failover strategies
• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with AutoSys Workload Automation
• Experience managing AutoSys infrastructure (Event Server, Agents, WCC)
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS)
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Bash, Python)
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
