Responsibilities

• Accurate patient demographic details and charges entry or payment posting in billing software.
• Review and post charges for medical services provided by providers.
• Handle ERA/EOB information related to payments and postings.
• Adhere to billing/coding guidelines including HIPAA and payer requirements.
• Maintain high accuracy in charge entry and minimize errors.
• Double-check all charge entries for completeness and correctness.
• Analyze patient encounter documentation to ensure accurate coding and charge capture.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Accurate Patient demographic detail Charges Entry or Payment Posting transactions in the customers revenue cycle software.
• Accurately review and post charges for medical services provided by healthcare providers.
• Payers either send an EOB (explanation of benefits) or ERA (electronic remittance advice) towards the payment of a claim.
• Adhere to billing and coding compliance guidelines, including HIPAA regulations, insurance payer guidelines, and government regulations (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).
• Maintain high accuracy in charge entry, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
• Double-check all charge entries for completeness and correctness.
• Analyze patient encounter documentation, such as super bills, operative reports, and medical records, to ensure accurate charge capture and appropriate code assignment.

Qualification/Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Patient Demographics Entry, Payment posting or Charge Entry.
• Strive to achieve the productivity standards.
• Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management process.
• Need to work on payment posting and denial batches.
• Must work on ERA discrepancies.
• Candidate with Bachelors degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Good analytical skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
