Job summary

A global staffing and IT consulting firm in India is seeking an experienced finance professional for a role focused on general ledger scrutiny, direct tax and GST accounting, and day-to-day financial operations. Ideal candidates will have 3 to 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, with preferred audit experience or attempts in Chartered Accountancy. This is a full-time position from 11 am to 8 pm.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience with general ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with direct tax accounting and compliance.
• Prior work with a finance team.
• Audit experience or Chartered Accountancy attempts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.
• Post accounting entries according to internal policies.
• Resolve open bank reconciliation items.
• Execute full cycle of direct tax accounting and compliance.
• Execute GST accounting and compliance.
• Support day-to-day financial and operational needs of the India business team.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform general ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.
• Post accounting entries in accordance with internal policies and standards.
• Resolution of open bank reconciliation items
• Execute the full cycle of direct tax accounting and compliance, including:
  • Monthly withholding tax computations
  • Filing quarterly WHT returns
  • Filing annual income tax and transfer pricing returns
• Execute GST accounting and compliance, including:
  • Monthly and annual return filings
  • ITC computations and reconciliations
• Support day‑to‑day financial and operational needs of the India business team.
• Candidate should have worked previously with finance team
• Candidate having either audit experience or have attempted Chartered Accountancy would be preferred

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 4 years

Working time: 11 am to 8 pm
