Job summary

BDO India Services Private Limited, a member firm of BDO International, is seeking a Senior Associate in Accounting Advisory. You will provide accounting and regulatory guidance on Indian GAAP and Ind AS/IFRS, research technical matters, and prepare model financial statements for diverse clients in India.

The role requires a CA qualification, up to 2 years of experience in assurance/technical accounting, and the ability to apply Indian GAAP to Ind AS engagements.

Responsibilities

• Accounting and regulatory advice on Indian GAAP and Ind AS/IFRS.
• Research on technical matters including audit, accounting and regulatory.
• Preparation of model financial statements, other model formats and reports used for different purposes.
• Knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS and differences from Indian GAAP to Ind AS.
• Apply relevant accounting standards and independently execute Ind AS engagements while researching complex technical accounting issues.
• Keep up-to-date with new pronouncements relating to Ind AS.
• Experience in writing technical articles/publications is a plus.
• Present technical accounting matters to clients and senior team members clearly.

About Accounting Advisory

Our Accounting Advisory Services team is well experienced in the implementation of Indian GAAP/ Ind AS/ IFRS including complex technical issues arising at the time of transition and post implementation. The team has developed many technical papers for recognised clients. The team provides support to clients for the preparation of technical notes for documentation or management discussion which serves best for internal or external discussion.

Our Accounting Advisory Services team includes experts on GAAP who understand the technical aspect, know the preferred approach for conversion and preparation of financial statements.

• Must have a knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS with working knowledge of differences from Indian GAAP to Ind AS.
