Job summary

You will develop innovative concepts, prepare layouts and drawings, coordinate with clients, consultants, and makers, lead junior designers, and ensure on-time delivery within budget while upholding brand standards and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of retail, commercial, and interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Develop innovative and functional design concepts, layouts, space plans, and design presentations.
• Prepare and review detailed working drawings, construction drawings, furniture layouts, and joinery details.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings based on design, quality, and budget requirements.
• Ensure designs are aligned with project brief, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and brand requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor design implementation, quality, and progress.
• Identify design or execution challenges and provide practical, timely solutions.
• Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and material submissions for design compliance.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality and delivery timelines.
• Lead and mentor junior architects, designers, and project team members.
• Collaborate closely with the furniture and manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into high-quality, buildable solutions.
• Participate in client meetings, design presentations, site meetings, and project reviews.
• Maintain strong documentation and ensure all project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Stay updated with current trends in retail, commercial interiors, materials, furniture, and architectural design.
