Required Skills & Experience
- PhD with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with 813 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
- Strong experience with Computer Vision including object detection, image classification, segmentation, tracking, and scene understanding
- Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or OpenCV
- Experience developing models for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, defect detection, or quality inspection systems
- Experience working with robotics platforms, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or edge devices
- Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques utilizing cameras, LiDAR, radar, IMUs, or other sensor modalities
- Experience training, evaluating, and optimizing deep learning models for real-world performance
- Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, neural networks, and computer vision architectures
- Experience deploying AI solutions to edge, embedded, or cloud environments

- Experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotic software development
- Experience with generative AI, vision-language models (VLMs), or multimodal AI systems

This individual will be responsible for developing advanced computer vision, anomaly detection, and robotic perception capabilities that enable autonomous decision-making in real-world environments. The ideal candidate will combine deep machine learning expertise with hands-on experience in vision systems, sensor data processing, and robotics integration to build scalable AI solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and automation across complex systems.
Day-to-Day:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models focused on computer vision and intelligent automation
- Build anomaly detection solutions for identifying defects, equipment failures, and operational abnormalities
- Develop perception algorithms for robotic systems utilizing cameras, LiDAR, and sensor data
- Train and optimize deep learning models for object detection, tracking, classification, and segmentation
- Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into deployed systems
- Validate model accuracy, robustness, and performance in real-world production environmentsImprove existing AI pipelines through model optimization, experimentation, and performance tuning
