Job summary

UPS is hiring an Intermediate Applications Developer in Chennai, India. The role focuses on designing, developing, maintaining, testing, and evaluating software that supports business capabilities and product suites.

You will integrate AI coding practices into the development lifecycle and work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development with WebLogic and SQL.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA and Javascript.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, e.g. GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with agile development, scrum concepts and CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with C#, .Net and ExtJS is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
• Attention to detail and good self-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Job Description

The Intermediate level Applications Developer applies the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites. Provides systems life cycle management to ensure delivery of technical solutions that are on time. Has the ability and experience to integrate AI coding practices into the development lifecycle. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Analyzes requirements, tests, and integrates application components. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.

The Intermediate developer must have experience building and deploying J2EE web applications utilizing core Java, Spring Framework or Spring Boot, JPA and SQL Server. Exi perience with WebLogic and CI/CD is required. Experience with C#, .Net and Sencha ExtJS is a plus. The senior developer will collaborate with other developers and teams to accomplish objectives. He/She must be self-motivated, dependable, proactive, organized and a strong team player.

Minimum Qualifications
