The Senior Applications Developer applies principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provides business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites. Provides systems life cycle management to ensure delivery of technical solutions on time. Integrates AI coding practices into the development lifecycle. Develops program logic for new applications or modifies logic in existing applications, analyzes requirements, tests, and integrates application components, ensuring that system improvements are implemented successfully.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy J2EE web applications utilizing core Java, Spring Framework or Spring Boot, JPA and SQL Server.
• Use WebLogic and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with other developers and teams to accomplish objectives.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience with Java Programming, J2EE Web Development, WebLogic and SQL Language.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA and Javascript.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools, ex. GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with agile development, scrum concepts and CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with C#, .Net and ExtJS is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and good self‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent in education and work experience.
