Elios, Inc. in India is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to build and ship consumer-facing banking features in Kotlin. You will own release quality end to end and contribute to design sessions in a remote contract role.
You will work with Android SDK, MVVM, LiveData, REST and SOAP, and collaborate in Scrum to deliver high-quality mobile experiences used by millions.

The company's Banking as a Service platform supports customized banking and payment solutions for prominent consumer and technology companies across the United States. This is a remote contract role based in India.
Translate product requirements into clear technical designs and production-ready Android code
Build features in Kotlin using the Android SDK, MVVM, and LiveData
Integrate REST and SOAP services, and manage local data with SQLite
Participate in peer code reviews and, at times, lead them while improving testability across the team
Work within Scrum to groom requirements, estimate work, and commit to deliverables
Write unit and integration tests, following established SDLC guidelines
Document new and existing work, and share lessons learned and best practices
3+ years of software engineering experience, with a B.S. in Computer Science or a related field preferred
2+ years working with Android Studio, ADB, XML, JSON, Gradle, Firebase, and the Android SDK
Hands-on experience building apps in Kotlin, with familiarity in Java
Proficiency in OOP, MVVM, service integration using REST and SOAP, SQLite, and LiveData
Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies
Strong written and verbal English
