Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Android Camera Application Developer to design, build, and optimize advanced camera applications for Android, collaborating with camera, imaging, and platform teams to deliver high-performance mobile solutions.

You will work with Camera2 APIs, image processing pipelines, and performance enhancements, contributing to architecture discussions and automated tests while embracing AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in Android Application Development.
• Strong programming expertise in Java and Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Android Camera Applications.
• Strong expertise in Android Camera2 API and camera application architecture.
• Good understanding of Android Framework components including Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
• Experience with JNI (Java Native Interface) and Android native integrations.
• Knowledge of Jetpack Libraries, Android design patterns, and application architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of Multithreading, Operating System concepts, and Android application lifecycle.
• Experience in Image Processing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in memory management, bug analysis, and issue resolution.
• Hands-on experience with Android development and debugging tools including Android Profiler, Systrace, Logcat, and LeakCanary.
• Experience using Git, Perforce, and Gradle Build System.
• Experience in Unit Testing and Automation Testing.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
