We are seeking a Senior Analyst to serve as a hands‑on analytics and insights contributor within Takeda's Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, supporting the US Medical Digital Engagement & Insights team. This role sits in the GCC and operates as an extension of US Medical — transforming US Medical's data into actionable intelligence by uncovering signals in large, complex datasets, generating clear strategic insights, and telling compelling stories with data that guide US Medical leadership, field teams, and strategic planning. The Senior Analyst carries significant individual ownership of analytical deliverables and is an emerging thought leader who elevates the quality and clarity of insights delivered to US Medical. Own and independently deliver a portfolio of the GCC's US Medical analytical products, and serve as a go‑to resource for insight generation and visual analytics across assigned therapeutic areas. Partner across time zones with US Medical leaders, therapeutic‑area leads, and DD&T to translate analytical needs into decision‑ready insights with clear business implications. Act as an emerging thought partner within the GCC team — contributing to analytical best practices, storytelling standards, and the informal mentoring of Analyst colleagues.
Conduct deep, self‑directed analyses across multiple data sources (e.g., Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, MyMedInfo, Veeva Link Key People, and digital engagement platforms) to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities that inform US Medical strategy. Identify meaningful signals within large, complex datasets to surface actionable insights for Medical leadership, field teams, and strategic planning. Navigate ambiguity and frame the right questions, applying both quantitative and qualitative analytical judgment to explore complex problems and refine engagement strategy. Anticipate business needs and proactively surface insights that drive better decisions, using advanced techniques — segmentation, trend analysis, behavioral patterns, and signal detection.
Skilled at data storytelling — connect insights to business strategy and present them clearly and persuasively through compelling narratives, visualizations, and recommendations tailored to different audiences, from senior leadership to field teams. Support performance measurement and strategy refinement by providing timely, relevant insights on engagement effectiveness, content impact, and HCP behaviors. Act as a thought partner to therapeutic‑area and functional leads — helping frame questions, define success measures, and guide data‑informed decisions.
Design, build, and maintain enterprise‑grade Tableau dashboards and analytical tools (e.g., Databricks Genie) that make complex data intuitive and actionable. Follow and help improve data visualization best practices and design standards, continuously refining reporting to better highlight key trends, opportunities, and impact measures. Partner with DD&T and data platform teams to ensure analytical needs are met and data structures enable insight generation; perform ETL and help orchestrate pipelines feeding analytical products, automating recurring workflows using SQL, Python, and GenAI tools (e.g., Claude Code) as a coding partner.
Support prioritization and scoping of analytical work within the GCC, balancing quick‑turn deliverables with deeper strategic projects, and help build analytical literacy across US Medical stakeholders. Provide informal mentoring and quality guidance to Analyst colleagues, and contribute to team knowledge management (standards, design patterns, reusable templates and query libraries).
Bachelor's Degree required in a technical, analytical, or quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Public Health, Computer Science, or Life Sciences); advanced degree preferred.
4–5 years of progressive quantitative analytical experience in insights, analytics, or related roles — ideally within Medical Affairs, Commercial, or similar data‑rich functions in pharmaceutical or life sciences — with demonstrated independent ownership of deep analysis and surfacing strategic insights from complex datasets. Strong, hands‑on Tableau experience building and maintaining dashboards is required; strong proficiency in SQL and Python for deep analysis is required. Demonstrated data visualization and storytelling skills with a proven ability to influence decisions through clear, actionable insights. Familiarity with pharmaceutical data ecosystems (CRM, engagement platforms, MyMedInfo, content systems) and comfort working within modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks) in partnership with DD&T. Exposure to AI/ML analytics use cases to surface insights at scale, and knowledge of omnichannel engagement strategies in a Medical Affairs context, are strongly preferred. Experience in a GCC, captive, or offshore delivery model supporting global or US‑based stakeholders, with willingness to maintain overlap hours with US time zones, is strongly preferred.
Analytical & Strategic Rigor — Exceptional ability to work with large, complex datasets and identify meaningful signals that inform strategic action; strong quantitative and qualitative skills, comfortable navigating ambiguity and framing the right questions.
Critical Thinking & Proactive Insight — Anticipates business needs and proactively surfaces insights that drive better decisions; advances from basic pulls to self‑directed exploratory analysis.
Data Storytelling & Visualization — Skilled at data storytelling — connects insights to business strategy and presents them clearly and persuasively; builds intuitive, decision‑ready Tableau products.
Collaboration & Communication — Excellent communicator who tailors insights to different audiences; works effectively across functions, therapeutic areas, and technical/business teams as a collaborative thought partner.
Technical Proficiency — Strong proficiency in Tableau, SQL, and Python; performs ETL and helps build pipelines and uses GenAI as a coding partner.
Informal Mentorship — Provides practical guidance to Analyst colleagues on analytical and visualization best practices.
Curiosity Confidence Reflective High risk tolerance Organized High command of written and spoken English fluency.
Deliver accurate, transparent work and take full responsibility for quality.
Contribute positively to GCC and US Medical team workflows and cross‑functional collaboration across time zones.
Take ownership of all assigned tasks and deliver on commitments.
Continuously build analytical and domain capabilities and share expertise across the team.
