Position Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Global Payroll team at EDB. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with international payroll, with a keen eye for detail, and a passion for process improvement. You will play a vital role in supporting our growing global workforce and ensuring a seamless payroll experience for all.

Main Function

In this role, you will be a key contributor to our payroll operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll in accordance with our policies for our employees across the globe. Additionally, you will help drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll cycle.

What your impact will be:
  • Prepare and process end‑to‑end global payroll for various countries, working closely with our international payroll providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance and resolving payroll‑related queries, policies, ensuring effective resolution in a timely manner.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations, data privacy standards, and EDB's internal policies.
  • Support payroll accounting close activities, including the preparation of accruals and account reconciliations, prepare and post payroll journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up‑to‑date, and partner with the accounting team to resolve variances.
  • Assist with year‑end activities, including the reconciliation and support for the distribution of annual tax forms (e.g., W‑2s).
  • Support the administration of retirement and benefit contributions (e.g., 401(k)), including processing files and assisting with compliance activities.
  • Assist with the review of quarterly payroll tax reporting and help research and resolve payroll/tax reporting issues.
  • Prepare and generate internal payroll reports for management and assist with external regulatory filings.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function, helping to enhance efficiency, leverage automation, and improve the stakeholder experience.
  • Invoice Management: Populate and prepare invoices related to payroll, benefits, and other third‑party remittances.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Excel to create reports, analyze payroll data, and support financial audits. This includes using functions like VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
What you will bring:
  • A strong knowledge of US and international payroll processes and best practices.
  • 5+ years of progressive, hands‑on experience in a global payroll function.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Accounting, Business, Human Resources or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience. Professional designation such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Hands‑on experience with payroll & accounting software systems. Workday and NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and international teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
