Job summary

Chubb India is seeking a Senior Analyst I - Actuarial Life Valuation to drive USGAAP (LDTI) implementation and deliver insightful valuation reports for Chubb Life entities in Asia. You will maintain Prophet models and provide timely financial analyses to management.

Ideal candidates have mathematics/actuarial degrees, 4–6 actuarial exams, 5–6 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in R or Python, Excel, and communication, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics.
• 4–6 actuarial exams with 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of USGAAP (LDTI), Pricing and Experience studies.
• Prophet or similar actuarial software proficiency.
• IFRS17 implementation or reporting experience is a plus.
• Strong data analytics, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in R or Python.
• MS Excel and other office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee USGAAP (LDTI) implementation across one or more Asia markets.
• Prepare and review valuation reports per USGAAP (LDTI) standards.
• Deliver experience studies and analyze changes in key assumptions.
• Maintain Prophet models and reconcile cash flows with Excel.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management.
• Assist in internal control procedures to ensure precise reporting.
• Maintain documentation for data, models, assumptions, and analyses for audits.

• Role Overview: To provide meaningful, insightful, high quality and timely USGAAP (LDTI) and Experience studies actuarial reports and recommendations to actuarial business units for various Chubb Life entities.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of USGAAP (LDTI) across one or more Asia markets.
• Prepare and review valuation reports in accordance with USGAAP (LDTI) standards.
• Deliver experience studies and conduct impact analyses of changes in key assumptions.
• Maintain Prophet models, incorporating new products and analyzing/reconciling cash flows with excel models.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Assist in the implementation of internal control procedures to ensure precise financial reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for each process and audit requirement, including data, models, assumptions, and analyses, to support the delivery of high-quality financial results and insights.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics.
• 4-6 exams from recognized actuarial institute and 5-6 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of USGAAP (LDTI), Pricing and Experience studies.
• Proficiency in Prophet, or similar Actuarial software is highly desirable.
• Experience with IFRS17 implementation or reporting is a big plus.
• Strong data analytics skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience with R or Python is must.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office applications.
