Job summary

Quince, a fast-growing direct-to-consumer company, seeks a Chartered Accountant focused on systems, data flows and operational finance. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations and product workflows, ensuring financial accuracy through structured processes and working with cross-functional teams and internal BI tools.

You will analyze invoice-level costs, strengthen controls, and contribute to a scalable, systems-driven finance function while supporting vendor cost accounting

Qualifications

• CA with 3–4 years’ experience in finance, cost structures and controls.
• Strong interest in systems, BI reports, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel; comfortable with large datasets and system-generated files.
• Experience with workflow tools (Jira / Freshservice is a plus).
• Experience in e-commerce, supply chain, or operational finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the system-driven vendor billing review process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze invoice data, reconcile charges with internal system reports (BI dashboards, operational data, etc.).
• Understand how cost components (fulfillment, adjustments, duties, tariffs, etc.) flow through financial and operational systems.
• Identify data mismatches across systems and raise structured tickets for resolution.
• Work closely with Product, Sourcing, Quality, and Ops to understand upstream data and resolve discrepancies.
• Build strong documentation and strengthen internal controls around vendor cost flows. Support system enhancements by providing finance inputs on workflows, exceptions, and edge cases.
• Maintain audit readiness through accurate reconciliations and robust documentation.
• Contribute to month‑end processes for cost accuracy and vendor payment readiness.
• Continuously explore opportunities to automate and streamline the invoice validation process.

ABOUT ROLE

The ideal candidate enjoys digging into the “why” behind numbers, understanding how data moves through systems, and ensuring financial accuracy through structured processes. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, use internal BI tools, analyze invoice‑level cost structures, and support improvements in our financial workflows. Success in this role means enabling accurate vendor cost accounting, strengthening controls, and contributing to a scalable, systems‑driven finance function.

REQUIREMENTS

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–4 years of work experience.
• Strong conceptual understanding of accounting, cost structures, and controls.
• Strong interest in systems, processes, BI reports, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel; comfort with large datasets and system‑generated files.
• Experience with workflow tools (Jira /freshservice is a plus).
• Ability to think logically and trace how numbers flow from operational systems into financial records.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Curiosity to understand the “story behind the numbers” rather than only posting entries.
• Experience in e‑commerce, supply chain, or operational finance (preferred but not required).
