Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Hyderabad, India, to lead hands-on development of AI agents, RAG pipelines, and scalable backend services. You'll integrate LLMs with enterprise systems and deploy AI apps across cloud platforms.

You will mentor juniors and work closely with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI solutions, staying current with advances in LLMs and AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
• 6+ years software engineering experience.
• ≥3 years building AI/Generative AI apps with LLMs.
• ≥3 years building scalable backend software and distributed systems.
• Strong Java and Python skills with modern software engineering principles.
• Hands-on with AI orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with RAG systems, embedding models, semantic/hybrid search, vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI agents and multi-agent systems with LLMs.
• Build and optimize RAG solutions for enterprise apps.
• Develop intelligent workflows with planning, reasoning, memory management, and function calling.
• Design and implement scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python (FastAPI).
• Deploy AI apps using Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Optimize AI systems for latency, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Establish observability and monitoring for AI apps using standard tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and platform teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Stay updated with LLMs, Agentic AI, and AI infrastructure.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of intelligent talent technology. In this role you will…

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

• Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, MachineLearning, or a related technical field.
• 6+years of overall software engineering experience.
• Minimum3 years of hands-on experience building AI/Generative AI applicationsusing Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Minimum3 years of experience developing scalable backend software and distributedsystems.
• Strongproficiency in Java and Python and modern software engineering principles.
• Hands-onexperience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph,LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
• Experiencedesigning and implementing production-grade RAGsystems,including embedding models, semantic search, hybrid search, reranking, andvector databases.
• Experiencewith vector databases such as Milvus, Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch,Elasticsearch, FAISS, or ChromaDB.
• Experienceintegrating and deploying applications using LLMs such as OpenAI GPT,Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, Amazon Nova, or Azure OpenAI.
• Strongexperience building REST APIs using FastAPIor similar Pythonframeworks.
• Experiencewith containerization and orchestration technologies such as DockerandKubernetes.
• Experiencedeploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiaritywith CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experiencewith AI evaluation, prompt engineering, observability, and monitoringtools such as LangSmith, Langfuse, MLflow, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus,or Grafana.
• Strongunderstanding of software architecture, microservices, asynchronousprogramming, and distributed systems.
• Excellentproblem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the abilityto work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
