Job summary

Cornerstone OnDemand is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join our Workforce Intelligence team in Hyderabad. You will build end-to-end features across backend and a React/TypeScript frontend to surface insights from LLMs and real-time analytics, empowering managers and HR leaders.

You’ll work on the LLM integration layer, RAG and semantic search, and data pipelines, collaborating with data science, product, and platform engineering to ship production-ready AI-powered features.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of production backend experience in a major language (Java, Python, Go, etc.).
• Strong experience with TypeScript and React frontend.
• Experience integrating LLMs into production systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and own backend features — design, implementation, testing, code review, production monitoring.
• Work on the LLM integration layer: streaming AI responses, prompt engineering, structured output parsing, and validation.
• Contribute to RAG and semantic search architecture — hybrid vector search, caching, data ingestion pipelines.
• Build rich frontend experiences in React/TypeScript rendering AI content in real-time.
• Improve NL-to-SQL pipeline translating natural-language queries to validated analytics queries.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and cross-team collaboration.

Senior AI Engineer

Cornerstone OnDemand is looking for a motivated AI Engineer to join ourWorkforce Intelligence team. You'll work on an AI-powered assistant that helpsmanagers and HR leaders understand their teams - surfacing skill gaps, careerpathways, and organizational insights through natural-language conversationsbacked by LLMs and real-time analytics.

In this role, you'll build and ship features end-to-end across ourbackend and React/TypeScript frontend, working closely with data science,product, and platform engineering.

In this role, you will...

• Build and own backend features —design, implementation, testing, code review, and production monitoring.

You've got what it takes if you have...

• 3-5 years of experience buildingproduction backend services in any major language (Java, Python, Go,etc.).
• Working experience withTypeScript and React, or a strong willingness to work full-stack.
• Solid understanding of REST APIdesign, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience integrating LLMs intoproduction systems — prompt design, streaming responses, or structuredoutput handling.
• Experience with AWS services andcontainerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong engineering fundamentals:you care about test coverage, code review quality, and observable,maintainable systems.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with vector databasesor semantic search systems (Weaviate, Pinecone, pgvector, etc.).
• Experience with reactive or asyncprogramming patterns (WebFlux, SSE streaming, etc.).
• Exposure to analytics databases(ClickHouse, Snowflake, or similar).
• Familiarity with Redis forcaching, session state, or pub/sub.
• Experience with monorepo tooling(Nx, Turborepo, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with promptengineering, RAG architectures, or AI agent patterns.
