Job summary

Your day at NTT DATA

As a Senior AI Solutions Architect within NTT DATA's Global AI Delivery Unit, you will operate at the intersection of client ambition, go-to-market and delivery. Acting as a key technical and delivery interlock, you will work with sales and regional solution teams to shape, validate and assure complex AI opportunities before they transition into delivery.

You will help translate client requirements into secure, scalable and commercially viable AI solutions. Depending on the opportunity, this may involve developing or validating solution architectures, leading technical discovery, creating prototypes or proofs of concept, evaluating technology options, and coordinating specialist input across AI engineering, data, cloud, security and delivery teams.

Beyond technical architecture, you will help turn the solution into a practical delivery and commercial model. You will validate scope, estimates, resource requirements, assumptions and dependencies; contribute to proposals and statements of work; and work closely with commercial and delivery stakeholders to ensure that what we sell can be successfully delivered.

You will also play an important role in deal assurance, identifying technical and delivery risks, challenging commitments where necessary and ensuring opportunities are appropriately structured before customer signature. Following contract approval, you will help transition the agreed solution into delivery with a clear baseline covering architecture, scope, commercials, risks and client commitments.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

• Strong experience in enterprise solution architecture, technical consulting, AI engineering or complex technology delivery.
• A strong understanding of AI, generative AI and agentic AI solution patterns, including enterprise data, integration, security and cloud considerations.
• Experience designing or validating AI solutions using technologies across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or equivalent enterprise platforms.
• The ability to translate business requirements into practical solution architectures, delivery approaches, resource models and estimates.
• Hands-on experience developing, leading or evaluating prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience contributing to pricing, effort estimates, assumptions, statements of work and delivery commitments.
• Experience working across both pre-sales and delivery, with an understanding of how solutions move from opportunity through contracting into mobilisation.
• Strong client engagement and consulting skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• The ability to work effectively across sales, commercial, engineering, delivery, security, legal and partner organisations.
• The confidence to constructively challenge technical, commercial or delivery commitments where risks have not been adequately addressed.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, business or a related field. Relevant AI, cloud or architecture certifications are advantageous.
