Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Software Engineer AI/ML Lead Engineer (Python) to drive AI initiatives across architecture, roadmap, and delivery. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions, including AI agents and intelligent automation, while improving monitoring, performance, and operational processes.
The role requires 5+ years in Python and 3+ years in ML/AI, with experience in NLP, CV, Document Processing, and cloud deployment (Azure).

We support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of products serving tax, accounting, audit, and practice management professionals, enabling scalable technology solutions across the Thomson Reuters portfolio.
Lead the technical execution of AI initiatives, including architecture design, roadmap alignment, and delivery oversight. Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions leveraging modern AI technologies, MLOps, and LLMOps best practices. Optimize AI model performance through advanced techniques, including domain adaptation of third-party models and algorithms. Build and enhance AI-powered applications, including AI agents and intelligent automation solutions. Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track application performance, user behavior, and product insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions. Stay current with emerging AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies and drive adoption of relevant innovations. Act as a technical thought leader by contributing to architecture discussions, sharing AI expertise, and influencing engineering direction. Support continuous improvement of development, deployment, and operational processes for AI systems.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development. 3+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and AI solution development. Strong experience with: Python NumPy Pandas Matplotlib FastAPI Scikit-learn TensorFlow and/or PyTorch Experience developing solutions in: Computer Vision Natural Language Processing (NLP) Document Analysis and Intelligent Document Processing Systems Experience building AI Agents and AI-powered applications. Knowledge of MLOps tools, frameworks, and deployment workflows. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile development environments.
Exposure to or hands‑on experience with .NET and C# technologies. Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. Familiarity with LLMOps practices and AI model lifecycle management. Experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise-scale cloud environments. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for AI/ML applications. Experience working with products in the Tax, Accounting, Legal, or Financial domains. Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across teams.
