Senior AI Lead / Director – AI Programs& Solutions

Location: Preferably Chennai, India

1. Role Overview

As a Senior AI Lead – AI Programs& Solutions, you will lead SRM Tech’s artificial intelligence programs,client engagements, and proprietary AI tool development initiatives. The rolecombines technical expertise with executive leadership, focusing onGo-To-Market (GTM) strategies, enterprise AI delivery, and positioning SRM Techas a trusted partner in AI transformation.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams,manage strategic client relationships, and drive the adoption of Generative AI,Agentic AI workflows, and scalable AI/ML platforms. Experience in the LifeSciences / Pharmaceutical domain is a strong advantage.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Strategic Leadership & GTMExecution

• Define and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for AIofferings, accelerators, and solution frameworks.
  
• Lead client presentations and present technicalsolutions, translating business challenges into actionable AI roadmaps.
  
• Lead internal product and tool development initiativesto build reusable, scalable, and high-value AI assets and frameworks.
  
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex AI/ML programs,ensuring timely, high-quality execution aligned with business objectives.
  
• Manage cross-functional teams comprising dataengineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and solution architects.
  
• Establish delivery governance, quality assurance, andbest practices across AI programs.
  
• Serve as the primary AI subject matter expert in clientdiscussions, discovery workshops, and steering committee meetings.
  

2.3 Technical & InnovationLeadership

• Drive the adoption of Generative AI architectures,including Agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, Retrieval-Augmented Generation(RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Vector Databases.
  
• Provide architectural oversight for scalable datapipelines and platforms, including Apache Spark, Kafka, and Databricks.
  
• Guide the development and implementation of classicalML and NLP models across cloud and hybrid environments.
  
• Mentor and develop AI engineering and data scienceteams, fostering technical excellence and innovation.
  

2.4 Life Sciences / PharmaceuticalDomain

• Apply Life Sciences domain knowledge across commercialoperations, market access, clinical insights, and omnichannel analytics todevelop industry-specific AI solutions and accelerate time-to-value forclients.
  

3. Qualifications & Experience

3.1 Experience & Education

• 15+ years of overall experience in IT / SoftwareEngineering.
  
• 6+ years in dedicated AI/ML leadership or architectureroles.
  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, DataScience, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  

3.2 Leadership & Strategy

• Proven experience in client management, executivepresentations, and C-level stakeholder engagement.
  
• Experience in defining AI offerings, supportingpre-sales activities, and driving GTM expansion.
  
• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and managedelivery teams across multiple projects.
  

3.3 Technical Expertise

Generative AI & Modern AI Stack

• Expertise in Generative AI platforms, Agentic AIarchitectures, RAG frameworks, LLMs, fine-tuning, and Vector Databases.
  

Core AI/ML & Data Engineering

• Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning,NLP, and statistical modeling.
  
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks, includingPyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
  
• Experience with enterprise data platforms andtechnologies, including Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, and cloud-nativeservices across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  

AI Delivery & Governance

• Experience in MLOps, CI/CD for AI, model monitoring,and automated deployment pipelines.
  

3.4 Preferred Domain Experience

• Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical domain experience,particularly in commercial AI use cases, field productivity tools,patient/HCP journey orchestration, and market access operations.
